PT resources
https://www.posturalrestoration.com Madeline incorporates Postural Restoration exercise and manual therapy interventions in her land-based treatments as it incorporates a holistic view of the body and how everything works together for daily motion from simple tasks such a getting out of bed to high level athletic demands such as completing a triathlon. The most basic human activity in common with all of our activities whether it be sleeping, reaching or running is our breath. The mechanics of breathing and the postural response in our bodies is important to recognize while re-training how the body works together in recovery and optimization of posture. To find out more about this school of thought, please check out Ron Hruska’s work here.

Aquatic resources
https://www.watsu.com Watsu is the original form of Aquatic Bodywork, developed by Harold Dull as a way to bring Zen Shiatsu techniques into the water. This therapeutic bodywork has incredibly powerful effects on the nervous system, by calming the sympathetic while nurturing the parasympathetic for the deeply relaxing, nervous regeneration. Madeline has experienced profound results, particularly with individuals dealing with PTSD or chronic pain when incorporating Watsu techniques as part of their program.
http://www.healingdance.org Healing Dance is another form of Aquatic Bodywork, stemming from Watsu and combining principles of Water Dance to provide more dynamic motion and depth experiences while receiving water work.
Ai Chi Ai Chi was first created by Jun Kunno, an aquatic therapist from Japan, as an introductory tool for warm water work allowing individuals the opportunity to relax and surrender into this supportive environment while working to find their own balance, which can be quite challenging when intentionally performing slow motion in a moving body of water.
